About RootWright · How we work

# Four rules. Hold us to them.

If we break one of these, tell us. They’re here so you can. A WordPress LMS plugin built by Rafi Ahmed and Inqiat Reza. A free core on WordPress.org, and Pro for paid courses.

The rulebook

## Each rule, and where you can check it.

Pick a rule. Every one comes with what you can look at in the plugin.

01 Measure twice, ship once 02 Your data stays yours 03 Say what isn’t done 04 Never buy a review

01

### Measure twice, ship once

Nothing goes out until it’s been checked on a real course with real students.

Where you can check it

Every API route has an explicit access policy plus row-level checks.

Heavy work runs on Action Scheduler, never in the request.

AI marking waits for a person when it isn’t sure.

If we break this one, tell us: [founders email]

02

### Your data stays yours

Student records live in your database. [No telemetry by default. Confirm.]

Where you can check it

Full GDPR export and erase across every table that holds personal data.

Stored IP addresses age out automatically.

API keys are encrypted with libsodium, with no wp-config edit.

Your AI agent gets no student data unless you switch it on.

If we break this one, tell us: [founders email]

03

### Say what isn’t done

Gaps go on the build log before anyone has to find them.

Where you can check it

Launch prices are marked “not final” on the pricing itself.

Every feature is labelled Free or Pro: 126 Free, 92 Pro.

The build log lists what isn’t done: [Build log URL]

If we break this one, tell us: [founders email]

04

### Never buy a review

No perk, discount or seat is ever tied to a rating.

Where you can check it

Nothing to show here. This one is a rule about what we don’t do.

If we break this one, tell us: [founders email]

Why the rules exist

## Three complaints we kept hearing.

The same story kept coming up about WordPress LMS plugins. Turn a card over to see what we did about it.

The complaint Student progress scattered across postmeta. See what we did What we did Student data gets its own tables One table per job, indexed for the queries an LMS runs. Show the complaint The complaint Sites that got slower with every enrolment. See what we did What we did A fast lane for busy requests The requests students make most are answered before the rest of WordPress loads. Show the complaint The complaint Students forget what they learned a week later. See what we did What we did Spaced recall brings it back Built-in spaced repetition asks each student the right question on the right day, and tracks a 0–100 memory strength score for every course. “So we started from those parts.” Rafi Ahmed and Inqiat Reza · [Draft: both to approve the wording]

The name

## Root for what’s underneath. Wright for the people who build it.

root

/ruːt/ · noun

The part nobody sees that everything leans on. In an LMS: the student data, the access checks, the lesson that has to load on a bad connection.

wright

/raɪt/ · noun

A maker. Shipwright, wheelwright, playwright. The people who build the thing and answer for it.

The mark is the name, drawn. The radical is the “root” in RootWright: the foundation that learning grows from. The three books stand for the courses and lessons the platform holds, and the plate’s oversized top-left corner ties the LMS to the RootWright family.

People

## The two people you’d be holding to it.
